The Best Bras for Summer

Posted by on April 18, 2012 at 8:38 am in Bra, Bras, lingerie, underwear

Is your closet ready for summer? We bet you can’t wait to wear those halter tops, sheer blouses, tank tops, and racerback tops, as these are the perfect choices to battle the constant heat– but don’t forget to wear the proper bra with your different summer attires!

If you’re planning on wearing tops madeof sheer material, make sure to wear nude bras. They should match your skin tone so they will not show through your sheer top.

Tops with a plunging neckline should be worn with demi bras with plunging necklines. If you have a convertible, you can also choose to snap on fancy straps if you plan on letting your beautiful shoulders get noticed!

One-shouldered, racerbacks, and spaghetti-strapped tops look best with convertible bras, as they can be adjusted to perfectly match these outfits.

Make your summer outfit stand out as summer approaches! Don’t forget to wear the best bras for each of your outfit.

PR Firm’s Joy Working For Panache

Posted by on March 19, 2012 at 9:45 am in Bra, Bras, lingerie, underwear

A PR firm recently shared their joys over working for world recognized lingerie company Panache. Although just recently launched, Instinct PR, led by Jonathan Kirkby, has landed the coveted contract to handle the PR and communications work for Panache lingerie.

Jonathan Kirkby is the 2010 finalist for the CIPR Outstanding Young Communicator Award. Instinct pr launched only last year. Kirkby said that he has worked in the PR industry for 10 years and that setting up his very own agency was the next natural step.

Kirkby said that they work with great brands including Panache lingerie. They also do work for Lucinda Ellery and Puma.

“We are a consumer agency and our specialist areas are predominantly fashion, beauty and health. We also look after high profile events, such as Pixie Lott 21st birthday last month,” Kirkby shared.

Kirkby also said that with Panache lingerie as well as with other brands that his agency does work for, he creates a “strategy that ensures that the correct messaging is communicated to the correct media. We also focus on building strong relationships with journalists which results in strong, positive coverage.”

He also shared the main challenges facing the PR industry today. Kirkby said: “The media landscape has changed so much since I started working in PR. Obviously digital media means that stories now break really quickly, don’t linger for as long as they used to, and one small mistake can go everywhere! However, there are also a lot more exciting campaign and coverage opportunities to embrace; agencies just need to adapt to create press worthy campaigns.”

The Importance Of Wearing A Sports Bra

A lingerie company says it is very important for women for wear bras during exercise sessions or workout. Lingerie company Freya says that working out without wearing bras may lead to several health problems that may even become irreversible.

Officials from Freya said that if no proper bras are worn or no proper breast support is available, the women may face a lot of problems such as but not limited to poor posture, sagging and back pain. Some of these problems may even turn into long term and may become irreversible.

Freya then said that it is very important for women to wear sports bras especially during exercise so that total support is given to the female breasts. Wearing durable sports bras can also help minimize movement of the breasts and may also help them be in their best possible shapes.

According to many studies, a lot of women who fail to wear quality sports bras eventually complain of back pain and even chest pains. These women were then told to wear bras and other lingerie that can help keep their breasts in place. These women were also advised to wear good bras that can separate and support their breasts well.

Freya produces non compression sports bras. Freya also manufactures other sportswear such as racerback sports bras and underwired moulded sports bras. Freya offers a wide range of sports bras up to an H cup. The said company is also hailed for using quality fabric.

A man who was caught wearing only a bra as well as crotchless underwear was arrested in Oklahoma City last month.

Oklahoma City police operatives arrested last December 27, 2011 a man who was wearing only a bra and crotchless underwear. Forty eight year old Jeff Watson, who is suspected of exposing himself while wearing a bra and crotchless underwear, was arrested last month at the Modern Maternity store in Penn Square Mall.

A clerk at Modern Maternity told authorities that while Watson was browsing for clothes, he asked her for her phone number and to go out to lunch. The clerk refused to give her phone number. Then, the clerk said that the 48 year old Watson bought some items then took his purchases back to a dressing room then called her over to help him.

The clerk said when she went to the dressing room, Watson was wearing only a bra and electric blue crotchless panties. She said Watson kept asking her to look at him. She refused and told Watson to leave. Watson eventually left the store. However, after Watson left, the clerk called her district manager. The district manager, in turn, advised the clerk to call the police and file a report. Watson was arrested on a complaint of indecent exposure. No word if Watson will be able to get a refund on the bra and panties. There are also no updates as to the reason why Watson wore a bra and panties.

Saudi Women Enjoy The benefit of Lingerie Department

Posted by on January 6, 2012 at 12:05 pm in Bra, Bras, lingerie, underwear

Development in the kingdom is coming gradually and not at all definite.

The women in Saudi Arabia succeeded in a small but hopeful victory this year. No, it’s not allowing them to drive, yes, that’s still prohibited. For the most part of the time they still can’t work, take a trip, or even open bank accounts lacking the approval of a male guardian. Except they have this, now: they are now able to purchase lingerie in stores from female sales assistants in place of the every so often leering men who used to work the counters. If this unassuming gesture of liberalisation is taking place, they may even obtain fitting rooms soon.

It does not thud much, except in the hostile procedure of modernisation in the tradition-bound kingdom, it’s a significant step for them.

Eman Nafjian, one of the new generation of Saudi women’s activists, states over coffee in Riyadh, the capital that this is the beginning of a real social change. It will allow more women to work in shopping malls. And that’s a step towards more opportunities for women’s employment in general.

She relays that it wasn’t easy to win the right to sell lingerie. The change has been debated since 2005 and was resisted by traditionalists who oppose women working outside the home. Even though, in this case, the prohibition forced women to bargain with men over bras and panties. The rule was changed only after women spent two years agitating through a Facebook campaign called ”Enough Embarrassment”, and only subsequent to the labour minister was emboldened to obtain and enforce a decree from King Abdullah.

Nafjian says that that’s a microcosm of how life is improving for women in Saudi Arabia. Its pretty slow, and not at all sure. But in Saudi terms, Abdullah is a moderniser, he has promoted education for women, including thousands of college scholarships in the US, and has even promised to begin putting women to his official advisory council, the Shura, by 2013. Each little step forward prompts furious resistance from traditionalists, including Islamic scholars who warn that change is irreligious and the conservative women who say they like the old ways better.

British Glamour

The Victoria and Albert Museum is currently hosting a new exhibition in its Fashion Galleries.  Running until May 2012, the exhibition is called: ‘Ball gowns: British Glamour Since 1950’.   The display features over 60 dresses all of which are created by British designers.  This new exhibition is a ‘must’ for all who are interested in how evening dresses have evolved, dating from the debutante balls of the 1950’s, state occasions and on to those impressive rBritish Glamour ed carpet events.

To visualise a typical debutante ball gown of the 1950’s there would have been an exuberant amount of trimming such as black cotton net encrusted with sequins.  Typically this style ball gown is strapless, a nude strapless bra would be recommended to wear. The underskirt was stiffened with three layers of stiff net, one layer of starched black muslin and a taffeta under slip and the top was shaped and padded.

The singer Beyonce wore a dress featured in the exhibition whilst on stage performing at Barack Obama’s inauguration ball in 2009.  Her dress is a beautiful satin creation.  Diana, the Princess of Wales looked poised and graceful when she wore one of the featured dresses.  Yet another dress was worn by the late Queen Mother.  The Queen’s dress designer in the 1950’s, Norman Hartnell, has some dresses displayed too.  An Atsuko Kudo creation (leading designer of Fetish clothing) has been photographed on the fashion model Georgia Frost, to advertise the event, along with dresses by Worth of London and Hardy Amies.
