A woman who has a 40HH bra size says that she is on the verge of suicide. Forty one year old Kerrie Jewell, who is battling to have a breast reduction on the NHS, says that her bra size has been more of a problem than an asset.
Jewell, who hails from Coulby Newham, near Middlesbrough, says she has been taunted and bullied for 25 years because of her large bust. Kerrie says that she has begged a lot of medical experts to conduct a breast reduction surgery on her. She says that since she was 16 years old, she has always wanted to undergo surgery that could reduce her bra size. She also says that she currently collects a disability benefit.
Because of her huge bra size, Jewell says that she suffers from crippling back, shoulder and leg pain and is plagued by sores and abscesses. She also has to pay £50 for specially-crafted bras in her cup size.
Jewell has reportedly been told to lose weight first before begin considered for the breast reduction surgery. She wants to be referred to a plastic surgeon, however. She says that she wants to be “like normal people.”
‘I’m still suffering with my back and shoulders and stooping. It affects my legs as well. I had to lose four stones and I’ve lost that easily. They keep telling me to lose more weight moving the goal posts further and further,” she says.
