Actress Helena Bonham Carter said that she owes actor Brad Pitt a massive thank you for his contribution to her success in the world of showbiz.
The actress was once hailed the “queen of corsets” after appearing in a number of period movies such as “Lady Jane,” “A Room With A View” and “Howards End.”
The actress was nominated at the Oscars in 1998 for her role in “The Wings of The Dove” and this was a turning point for her. One of the offers she received that year was a role in “Fight Club” with Brad Pitt where Carter portrayed Marla Singer.
Since then, Carter has received a number of offers to portray challenging roles, including her latest film – “The King’s Speech” where she received positive reviews for her role. The film won multiple Oscars this weekend, including Colin Firth taking away a statue for Best Actor for his performance. The period drama also won praise for its accurate portrayal of costume design, and fashionista Carter is renowned for enjoying the chance to wear period fashions. At the recently concluded Golden Globe Awards, Helena Bonham Carter was seen wearing a mismatched pair of shoes which, as explained, was deliberately done.
